Traditional in Skyros
on the eve of some baptism, the invitation was not made with the classic printed invitation card with the announcement of the joyous event. From this morning the women of the house preparinged the pancakes, which had to be offered fresh. The parents of the child who were to be baptized, passed from every house in the village and offer pancakes with honey, on a plate wrapped with clean cloth. The guests, according to the custom, had to return the plate unwashed.
