About Us

The Name: Baptizw /bap-tid’-zo/

Baptizw (baptizo) is the Greek verb for baptizing. The W in end of the word represents the Greek letter omega (Ω), so you pronounce the name with an O in the end.

Why we created baptizw.com

As Greek mother, I have baptized my own two children and another two as a godmother. I have to admit, that every time it was a new and different experience and a daunting task.

Baptism should be a beautiful and special time for us. It is a time that you share with your family and friends. Through the traditions and customs that we celebrate and upkeep we connect to past and future generations.

Relatives and friends offered me a lot of information, all with the best intentions and trying to help, but it resulted in making me more confused.

Will the baptizing be perfect? Will there be the necessary respect for the mystery contained in the Baptism? … All these questions prevented my mind from settling. Thus, I was unable to enjoy these special moments in my life.

Our vision for baptizw.com

So, I decided to help you with this very special moment in your child’s life. To provide you with information, services and products for this big event. It is our goal to help you plan, organize and carry out the baptism of your child. With enjoyment and reverence for this special celebration. We want you and the guests to have great memories of this celebration.

I plan to gather all the scattered information about what you need on this website. Articles to learn, or remember, about the deeper meaning of baptism. Take a look at our section about the ‘Meaning Of’, here we write about the formal and unofficial rules for a baptism.

You will also find all the necessary accessories that will make this day magical for you. Or discover something for you to indulge in for your baby.
